Larry Edward Bland, 57, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 7th, 2024, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Born Galveston and raised in Vidor, Larry was a cherished member of the Vidor community throughout his life.
Larry was known for his exceptional skills as a carpenter, bringing craftsmanship and dedication to every project he undertook. Beyond his professional talents, Larry had a passion for music and singing, often filling the air with his melodious tunes. He found great joy in firing up the BBQ grill, where he would whip up delicious meals for his loved ones. Larry was a lover of the outdoors, frequently indulging in activities such as camping, fishing, and soaking up the sun at the beach.
Larry leaves behind fond memories cherished by his family and friends. He is survived by his father, Ed Bland of Vidor, Texas, and his siblings: Marilyn Blankenship and her husband Thomas M. of Kountze, Texas; Debra Bland of Vidor, Texas; Terry Bland and wife Rachel of Orangefield, Texas; Melissa Bland Cahill and husband Tom of Washougal, Washington and many nieces and nephews.
Larry is preceded in death by his mother Yvonne Bland, and sister, Diane Bland.
Larry Edward Bland will be remembered for his warm heart, his zest for life, and the love he shared with those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and joy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
