Kathryn Alice Riley Cockrell

Kathryn Cockrell, 92, of Vidor died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at her residence. A lifelong resident of Vidor, she was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor, Beta Sigma Phi Perceptor Omega Service Sororiety, and was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home. Kathryn was preceded in death by her son William Cockrell, parents Jack Riley and Mary Riley Williams, brothers Jack W. Riley, and Judson Williams, and sister Mary Nelle Riley Hughes. She is survived by her husband Jack Cockrell of Vidor, sons Robert Cockrell and wife Carman of San Antonio, Charles Keith Cockrell and wife Mary of Port Arthur, and Richard Cockrell and wife Jaynen of Kountze, daughter Marilyn Kay Shiflett and husband Tommy of Sachse, TX., daughter-in-law Jackie Cockrell of Vidor, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She loved and was loved all her days.
