Karolyn Courts, 71, of Vidor died Monday, March 26, 2012 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, he has lived in Vidor since 1960 and was a homemaker and co-owner of C&C Saddle Shop. Karolyn was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, and a member of the Red Hat Society. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at The Cowboy Church in Orange under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Singleton Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at The Cowboy Church in Orange. Karolyn is survived by her husband of 55 years Richard “Dickey” Courts, daughters Anita Phillips and husband Billy of Vidor, TX, Debbie Spurgeon and husband Bryan, Brenda Burnham and husband David all of Mauriceville, TX, brother Rudolph Karl Kuritz, Jr and wife Linda, sisters Koreen Kuritz of Dallas, TX, Kathy Baker of South Carolina, grandchildren Kara Phillips, Kyle Phillips, Jake Spurgeon, Tyler Spurgeon, Justin King, Dustin Burnham and Davey Burnham, great grandchildren Layton Meguess and Bailen Burnham.
