Karl Robert Prien

Karl Prien, 49, of Vidor died Sunday, February 21, 2010 at his residence in Vidor. Karl was born November 11, 1960 in Beaumont, Texas to William and Emma Prien. He was a lifelong resident of Vidor and was a valued employee with Ralphs Industrial Electronic Supplies. Karl was an accomplished musician and played the guitar for his band Malayden for over 20 years. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with cremation to follow. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Karl is survived by his wife Carolyn Prien of Vidor, TX, son Jeremy Flowers of Tyler, TX, daughter Amber Prien of Vidor, TX, and brother Bill Prien of Lindenhurst, NY, grandson Cameron Flowers
