Junies Shorty Upshaw

Shorty Upshaw, 83, of Vidor died Sunday, January 11, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Coushatta, LA., he has lived in Vidor since 1973, and was a retired sheet metal worker for local #196. Shorty proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Graveside services will be Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Center Cemetery in Huntington, TX., under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Shorty is survived by his son, Steve Upshaw of Vidor, and daughter Patricia McDaniel of Beaumont, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
