Joyce Marie Hammock

Joyce Hammock, 70, of Sour Lake, TX, died February 14th, 2019 in Beaumont, TX. A native of Nacogdoches, TX she was a longtime resident of Vidor, TX before moving to Sour Lake to live with her sister Peggy. Joyce loved to read and work crossword puzzles and especially enjoyed going shopping. Visitation will be Monday, February 18, 2019 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Joyce is survived by 3 sons: Manuel Galaviz and Clint Galaviz both of Maysville, OK, and Henry Galaviz and his wife Amy of Nederland, TX, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 sister; Peggy Griffin and her husband Chester of Sour Lake. Joyce was preceded in death by 1 daughter; Cindy Galaviz, 1 brother; Marvin Hammack, and her parents; George and Christine Hammack.
