Joyce Maire Parker

Joyce M. Parker, 61, of Vidor died Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. a native of Houston, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Joyce enjoyed being with her grandchildren, she also enjoyed watching Nascar racing, especially Jeff Gordon. She liked watching her favorite football team, the Houston Texans and she was a member of Rose City Baptist Church in Vidor. Joyce was a customer service associate for 21 years at Wal-Mart in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Friday, October 28, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home. Joyce was preceded in death by her son baby boy parker, daughter Christina Greer, husband Elijah "Red" Parker, parents Charles and Louise Smith. She was survived by her daughter Michelle Josey and her husband Kevin of Vidor, TX, sister Darlene Smith and her husband Ed of New Holland, PA, brother Charles Smith Jr. and his wife Sara of Fulshear, TX, David Smith and his wife Donna of North Vernon, IN, 4 grandchildren , Joseph Greer, Jordan, Loren and Kailynn Josey, numerous sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
