Joyce Lesley Simmons

Joyce L. Simmons, 86, of Vidor died Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Yorkshire England, she has lived in Vidor since 1948, and was a retired nurses aide from Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. Joyce served in the British Army during WWII. Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband George O. Simmons, son Dave A. Simmons, and sister Marjorie Wyatt. Joyce is survived by her son George Simmons, daughter Sandy Stanley both of Vidor, Allen Charlesworth of England, eight grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
