Joseph Richard Kessell

Joseph R. Kessell, 61, of Vidor died Friday, March 21, 2014 at his residence. A native of South Charleston, WV., Joseph was a longtime resident of Vidor and was a sales associate with William George Produce. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Vidor Church of Christ in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home. Joseph was preceded in death by his mother Mary Josephine Kessell, and his step grandson Jon Schlegel. Joseph is survived by his wife Marsha Kessell, son James Arthur Kessell, daughter Joann Singleton and husband Tim all of Vidor, mother-in-law Edna Knapp of Vidor, step children Richard Ray Nelson and wife Colette of Jarrell, TX., and Rebecca Loraine Nelson of Vidor, father Richard Keith Kessell of Beaumont, sister Kathy Williams and husband David of Katy, three grandchildren: Levi Singleton, Emileigh Singleton, and Travis Kessell, three step grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren.
