Joseph Jarreau, 72, of Vidor died Saturday, Jaunary 24, 2004 at his residence. A native of Alexandria, LA., he has lived in Vidor for 61 years, and was a oilfield superintendent for 32 years with Bockmon Construction Co. Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Frankie, sons, Charlie D. Jarreau and wife Carolyn of Istanbull, Turkey, Kermit L. Jarreau and wife Phyllis of Little Cypress, TX., daughters, Sharon Jo Phillips of Sugartown, LA., Katherine Lou Thoms of Beaumont, TX., and Patricia Irene McKinley of Vidor, brother, Alvin Hayes and his wife Linda of Silsbee, TX., sisters, Alice Thornton and her husband Bob of Dallas, TX., and Jean Batchelor and her husband Vic of Moss Bluff, LA., thirteen grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Joseph is preceded in death by his daughter Cynthia Ann Jarreau.
