Johnny D. Humberson, 73 of Vidor died Tuesday, June 11th, 2019 at Conroe Regional Medical Center in Conroe, TX. A native of Beaumont, TX, he was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Johnny was a member of the Local Carpenters Union and served his country in the U.S. Army, having done two tours in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a Golden Gloves Champion and was a southpaw. Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing and having coffee on the porch with his soul mate every morning. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Turning Point Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Turning Point Church with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Johnny is survived by his soul mate and best friend Janie of Vidor, TX, sons Johnny Humberson Jr. of Tyler, TX, Mark Humberson of Tyler, TX, Rex Humberson of Vidor, TX, Benjie Humberson of Vidor, TX, daughter Jewel Humberson of Vidor, TX, brothers Terry, Michael, and Marion Humberson all of Vidor,TX, David Humberson of Philippines, sisters Shirley Brindley of Starks, LA, Brenda Bonin of Vidor, TX, JoAnn "Susie" Manning of Orange, TX, 27 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Samuel Lee Humberson Sr. and Helen Ashworth, grandparents Ruil and Viola Humberson, brothers Samuel Lee Humberson Jr., Gary "Bit" Humberson, and Joey Humberson.
