Johnnie Mahfouz, 88, of Vidor died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at his residence. A native of Farrsville, TX, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Johnnie was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for Mobil Oil Refinery and was a member of Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor. He served his country in the US Army during WW II. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church, with burial to follow at Weeks Chapel Cemetery in Jasper at 3:00 p.m.. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church. Johnnie was preceded in death by his son James Steven Mahfouz, daughters Gin Mahfouz Buller, and Sherry Lynn Mizell. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Aileen Mahfouz, son Jerry Dan Mizell and his wife Kathy of Vidor, TX, daughter Kathleen Cryer of Vidor, TX, brother Billy Mahfouz Vidor, TX, sisters Pat Evans of Nederland, TX, grandchildren Donna Stone, J.W Buller, Gina Martin and her husband Martin, Donnie Mizell and his wife Keisha, Patricia Mizell, Joseph Addison and his wife Courtney, Kandi Carter and her husband Jeffery, and Kayla Cryer, and great-grandchildren Jonathan Stone, Hannah Stone, Zack Stone, Dylan Buller, Blaine Martin, Allissia Mizell, Zack Parker, Clayton Mizeu, Christian Wright, Dylan Wright, Jade Wright, Hunter Carter, Kallee Carter, and Aubrey Addison.
