Jack Welch, 77, of Vidor died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Henderson, TX., he has lived in Vidor for 40 years, and was a retired pipefitter with Local # 195 after 40 years of faithful service. Jack served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Jack was preceded in death by his sons Paul A. Wilhelm, Jr., and John W. Welch, Jr. He is survived by his wife Alley Vee Welch, sons Walter Wilhelm and wife Brenda, Clifton Wilhelm and wife Rebecca, and Alfred Wilhelm and wife Mary all of Vidor, daughters Susie Copeland and husband Chuck, and Elizabeth Welch all of Orange, daughter-in-law Moye Wilhelm of Vidor, brother Clyde Welch and wife Wanda Beth of Deweyville, sisters Betty Sue Langley of Deweyville, Jessie Ferris and husband Ray of Mauriceville, and Carolyn Broussard of Orange, eleven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
