John Tillman Finley, Sr.

John Tillman Finley Sr. 91 of Vidor, died Wed December 26, 2012 at Oakwood Manor. Originally from Port Arthur, moved to Vidor 12 years ago. He was employed by Dupont as a process operator. He retired after 35 years of conscientious service. John could always be found in the garden. He was proud of his many plants, fruit trees and vegetables. Having a particular love for Orchids. He became a member of The Orchid Society of SE.Tx. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 yrs Rosa, he was a caring father to John Finley Jr. and his wife Tammy, Also to Donald Finley and wife Pamela. Grandfather to Christopher Finley and wife Shelley as well as Bridgette Finley of Beaumont, and Alyssa Finley of Vidor. He is survived by sisters Helen Howard, Betty Jones and brothers Everette and Glen Finley. Visitation is 5:00-10:00 Friday evening the 28th. At Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Services will be at 2:00 Saturday the 29th at the same location.
