John Steven Spann

John S. Spann, 58, of Vidor died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Hot Springs, AR, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. John was an Estimator for Horizon Off Shore and was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. He served his country in the US Army during the Viet-Nam conflict were he won two Purple Hearts and the Medal of Valor . Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor. John was survived by his wife Paula Gobert Spann of Vidor, TX, son Chad Spann of Texas, daughters Stacie Beadore of DeRidder, LA, Robbie Herford of Vidor, TX, Danette Godeaux of Lumberton, TX, brother David R. Spann of Lake Charles, LA, sister Sara Jones of Vidor, TX, and 9 grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Choir Department or the Prayer Garden at Pine Forest Baptist Church 4800 North Main St., Vidor, Texas 77662.
