John Leland Stains

John L. Stains, 49, of Rose City, died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. A lifelong resident of Rose City, he was a maintenance supervisor with Commercial Metals Company. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at 2:00 pm at Sycamore Cemetery in Burkeville, Texas. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home. John was preceded in death by his sister Mary McGee. He is survived by his wife Jerri Stains of Rose City, sons Justin McGee, James McGee, and Jared McGee all of Vidor, daughters Nikki Brown of Rushville, NY., Tara Castro of Albany, OR., and Kristen Stains of Vidor, father V.G. Stains, Sr., mother Frances Owers Stains both of Vidor, brother V.G. Stains, Jr of Gist, TX., sister Barbara Lee of Vidor, and seven grandchildren.
