John J.D. Johnson

John Doyle "J.D." Johnson, 59, of Vidor, died Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at his home in Vidor. He was a longtime member of Vidor but grew up in Lumberton. He worked for the City of Vidor and Orange County Water District for numerous years. In his free time he loved fishing, boating, camping, gardening, and spending time with his family. John's visitation will be Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 6:00-9:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor and will have a graveside service Friday, December 18, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. He is survived by his wife of 13 years Janie Watkins-Johnson of Vidor, son Adam, daughters Stephanie Watkins of Vidor, TX and Heather Watkins of Vidor, TX, brothers Charlie Johnson of Lumberton, TX and Doyle Johnson of Houston, TX, sisters Mary of Carthage, TX and Martha of Livingston, TX, and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters Melissa Renee Johnson Richardson and Elesie Barker, and by his parents Doss and Rose Marie Johnson.
