JoEllen Garrett

Jo "JoEllen" Garrett, 68, of Vidor, died Sunday, July 14th, 2024, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor and a member of First Baptist Church. JoEllen worked for Flair Realty for several years and was a dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and was very talented in her creations. She loved her dogs, Mattie Jo and Miley Jo, and was known as a fantastic cook.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Donny Garrett of Vidor, TX, and her children Dennis Garrett of Vidor, TX; and Dana McCoy of Vidor, TX; stepchildren Brent Garrett and wife Kimberly of Bulverde, TX; and Dallis Brown and husband Tray of Vidor, TX. She also leaves behind her brother Manuel Pues and wife Tammy of Houston, TX, and her sisters Sandra Garza of San Antonio, TX, and Jennifer Williams of Arlington, TX. JoEllen was a beloved grandmother to Braeden Garrett, Avery Coiner, Delani Brown, and Danni Garrett and her aunt Mae Dell Cavanaugh of Vidor, TX..

JoEllen was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Rachel Pues; brothers Randall and Michael Pues; and sister Polly Pues.
