Joe Michael Helms

Joe M. Helms, 58, of Vidor died Saturday, June 7, 2003 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Waxahachie, Texas he has lived in Vidor for 35 years, and was a retired salesman for Kraft Foods, Inc. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp., and was a member of the American Legion, and a volunteer at the V.A. clinic in Beaumont, TX. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, TX. Visitation will begin Monday, June 9, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. He is survived by his wife Patsy Helms of Vidor, TX., sons, Michael Helms of League City, TX., and Steven Helms of Vidor, TX., brother, John Helms of Balch Springs, TX., sisters, Shirley Cox of Mesquite, TX., and Kittie Miller of Kearnes, TX., and two grandchildren.
