Jodie Inez Shockome

Inez Shockome, 73, of Vidor, TX died Tuesday, December 17th, 2019 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Sulphur Springs, TX she was a longtime resident of Vidor who enjoyed sewing, doing arts and crafts and making Christmas ornaments. She also enjoyed making things for her grandchildren and spending time with her family. Visitation will be Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with funeral services at 3:00 p.m. Inez is survived by 3 daughters; Jodie McCoy of Sulphur, LA, Merret Kitchens and her husband Steve of Lumberton, MS, and Donna Lear and her husband Jamie of Vidor, and 1 son; Freddy Shockome of Vidor. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 sisters; Ann Guthrie, Naoma Roark and Karen Rowzee and 3 brothers; Robby Ward, Donald Ward, and Bobby Ward. Inez was preceded in death by her husband; Fred Shockome, parents; Joe and Audie Ward, 2 sisters; Nell and Zarita, and 3 brothers; Kenneth, Nelson, and Paul. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
