Jimmy R. Brumley, 71, of Vidor died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. A native of LaPorte, TX., he has lived in Vidor since 1978, and was a retired insulator with Local #22. He proudly served his country in the U S Marines Corp. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years Bennie Brumley, parents James and Katy Brumley, and two brothers Walter I. Brumley, and Billy J. Brumley. He is survived by his son Curtis W. Brumley and his wife Sherri of Vidor, three step children, brothers Bobby J, Brumley of Orange, Troy L. Brumley of Buna, sisters Sybil Wilson of Kirbyville, Joyce Shelly of Call, TX., Teresa Morgan of NM., Coy Phillips of Lumberton, and Debbie Paggett of Orange, one grandson Cody Brumley of Vidor, and numerous step grandchildren.
