Jimmie Wayne Kays Jr., 56 of Vidor, TX died Saturday, April 29th, 2017 in Beaumont. A native of Houston, TX he was a longtime resident of Vidor who enjoyed riding his Harley and going on weekend getaways with his wife. Jimmie was a member of the Bridge City Masonic Lodge #1325 since 1999 and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 2, 2017 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Pecan Acres Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Pecan Acres Baptist Church with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Elizabeth Kays, 2 daughters; Jacquelyn Rene' Kays-Torres and her husband Brent of Austin, TX and Cassie Leigh Kays-Perkins and her husband Anthony of Vidor, 2 step-daughters; Kylie Brooke Elkins and Gracie Catherine Elkins. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Bryce, Bayleigh, Rylan, and Rhett, 1 brother; Steve Kays, Sr., and 1 sister; Sue Ellen. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents; Jimmie Wayne, Sr. and Madelyn Kays, and 1 brother; Charles Kays. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Bridge City Masonic Lodge #1325, 365 N. John St. Bridge City, TX 77611.
