Jim L. Gill

Jim L. Gill, 76, of Crosby, TX died Monday, January 13th, 2020 in Galveston. A native of Kurthwood, LA he was a former resident of Vidor and a graduate of Vidor High School Class of 1961. Jim enjoyed reading, gardening and making floral arrangements but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, January 16, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years; Velva Gill, 1 daughter; Mary Elizabeth Gill and her husband Mike Garrie of Baytown, TX, 2 sons; Zane Allen Gill and his wife Misti of Humble, TX and Jeffrey David Gill and his wife Cai Dan, 5 grandchildren; Reece, Zachary, Kassia, Elizabeth, and Astrid, and 2 sisters; Ivy Jones and Alley Vee Welch. Jim was preceded in death by 2 brothers; J.D. Gill and L.C. Gill and 1 sister; Audie Vee Marshall.
