Jesse Lee Dub Morse, born to his parents, John R. (Uncle John) and Mary Byerly Morse on October 13, 1920. Left this world at home with loving Odyssey Hospice Care on December 13, 2008, and is with his Lord Jesus Christ whom he accepted in 1974 as his Savior. He was a lifelong resident of Vidor, and a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor. Dub leaves behind his wife of 64 years Clariece Berry Morse, sister Dora (Cooter) Stanton both of Vidor. He was preceded in death by his parents John R. and Mary Byerly Morse, sisters M Esther Hughes, Minnie Bell (Mince) Hodges, brothers John T. (T-Bone) Morse, Durham (Dick) Morse, Elzie (Bub) Morse, and Walter (Pie) Morse. Dub was a shipyard worker, carpenter and later a pharmacist of 54 years, and he retired most of them. Dub proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Force. He loved and was loved by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Pine Forest Baptist Church of Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home.
