Jerry Richard Croft

Jerry Richard Croft, 82, of Vidor, TX died Thursday, December 21st, 2017 in Beaumont, TX. A native of Kinder, LA he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Jerry retired from Southwestern Bell and liked to build things for people. He built homes, cabinets, staircases and was known as a "Jack of All Trades". He enjoyed listening to old country and Bluegrass music and being outside but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Visitatioin will be Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Singleton Cemetery in Vidor. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Croft, 2 daughters; Sherry Savoy and her husband Paul of Vidor and Donna Herring and her husband Joel also of Vidor, 4 grandchildren; Jerad Herring and his wife Suzann of Vidor, Courtney Downs and her husband Jordan of Bridge City, TX, Josh Savoy of Vidor, and Chad Herring and his girlfriend Sheena Riddle of Deer Park, TX. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, 1 sister; Lucy Galaviz and her husband Nestor of Vidor and 1 brother; Van Croft and his wife Elizabeth of Vidor. Jerry was preceded in death by a son; Ricky Croft, 1 sister and 4 brothers.
