Jerry D. Fawcett, 75 of Vidor died Thursday, June 2nd, 2016 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. A native of Silsbee, TX, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Jerry was a union boilermaker for 22 years at Bethlehem Steel. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. Jerry was a member of DAV Post 236, American Legion and christ community church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and western show's. He was a jokester with the whole family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with entombment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Monday, June 6, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home. Jerry is survived by his wife of 54 years Leanna Sue Fawcett of Vidor, TX, son Gary Allen Fawcett of Kirbyville, TX, daughters Rebecca Sue Springfield of Vidor, TX, Shelia Kay Fawcett of Vidor, TX, Deborah Leanna Galaviz of Orange, TX, Deanna Ruth Smith of Vidor, TX, brother Leo Daniel Fawcett of Vidor, TX, sisters Jeanet McCoy of Vidor, TX and Bonnie Allen of Las Cruces, NM, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
