Jeremy Scott Smith, affectionately known as "Too Fly," when he was younger, passed away on September 7, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas. Born on September 15, 1976, in Houston, Texas, Jeremy led a life characterized by hard work, humor, and a deep love for his family.
Throughout his life, Jeremy built a successful career as a carpenter and painter, leaving his mark through the many homes he constructed in the Southeast Texas area. dedication to his craft a reflection of his commitment to providing for his loved ones and contributing to the community around him.
Jeremy was not just known for his handiwork but also for his engaging personality. He had a remarkable ability to make those around him laugh, and he approached life with a laid-back attitude that endeared him to many. His greatest joy came from spending quality time with his children and grandchildren, creating treasured memories through gatherings filled with laughter, grilling, and watching football.
He is survived by his beloved children: Brianna Enderle, Kaitlin Enderle, Kaleb Smith, Joseph Smith, Jasmine Smith, Kaylea Pundt, Carrie Powell, Dillion Powell, and Jordan Powell. Jeremy was also proud of his 19 grandchildren, who were a source of immense pride and joy in his life.
Jeremy is further survived by his siblings, including brothers Ryan Smith, Eric Smith, and Terry Thedford Jr., as well as his sister Courtney LeBlanc. He will be fondly remembered by his mother, Debbie Thedford, his stepfather, Terry Thedford, and his father, Marshall Smith.
A visitation dedicated to celebrating Jeremy's life will be held on October 2, 2024, at the Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor in Vidor, Texas, beginning at 12:00 PM and concluding at 5:00 PM.
As we reflect on Jeremy's life, we remember a man who built more than just homes; he built a legacy of love and laughter that will endure in the hearts of his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, while the cherished memories of his life will always remain.
