Jay David Carter

Jay D. Carter, 74, of Beaumont died Thursday, March 25, 2004 at his residence in Beaumont. He was a native and lifelong resident of Beaumont. Jay was a retired mechanic and served his country in the U.S. Army. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Antioch Cemetery in Buna, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2004 at the funeral home. Jay is survived by his sons: Wayne Carter of Vidor, TX., Ray Carter of Keller, TX., David Carter of Vidor, TX., Robert Carter of Ft Wainwright, AK., Tony Carter of Beaumont, TX., Carol Carter of Moss Bluff, LA., daughters: Sue Adams, Tina Matlage, Dottie Wells all of Buna, TX., sister: Betty Roberts of Malpitas, CA., numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Maxine Carter, son: Charles quot;Chuckquot; Carter, daughter: Ruth Ann Mabry.
