Janis Jean Root

Janis J. Root, 79, of Vidor died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A native of San Diego, CA., she has lived in Vidor for 64 years, and was a homemaker. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. Janis was preceded in death by her daughter Sheron Ball, parents Clarence and Murial Holloway, brother Harold Pierce. She is survived by her daughter Marsha Daws of Vidor, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
