Janie Pearl Zuber

Our Lord granted his servant, Janie Zuber, 89, her wish to leave the cares of this world on Tuesday, February 23. She now has a home for eternity in Heaven with the loved ones who have gone before her. She joins her sisters Estelle Shafer and Mary Stripling and brothers Roy Hildebrand, T. C. Hildebrand and Howard Hildebrand. She leaves behind three children: Brenda and Don Tantzen of Beaumont, Dan and Beverly Zuber of Bandera, and April and Ronnie Petitt of Vidor. She is survived by her sister Mildred Edwards and her brother Louis “Sonny” Hildebrand. She has six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She served the Lord at First Baptist in Vidor and loved singing in the Glory Singers senior adult choir. She spent most of her working life as a bank teller. She loved playing the piano and singing hymns. We are grateful for the caring people at Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation for all of their loving support. We thank God for the faith she lived before us her entire life. We will see her again in Heaven. Visitation will be Friday, February 26, 2016 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
