A native of Saratoga, TX., he has lived in Orangefield for 73 years, and was a Self-Employed Logging Contractor for 30 years. Funeral services will be Monday, April 7, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Waldrep Cemetery in Orangefield, TX. Visitation will be Sunday, April 6, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Juanita Meyers, and Nola McShan. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Ruby Lee Waldrep of Orangefield, TX., sons: James Waldrep, Jr., of Vidor, TX., Charles Waldrep of Yellow Pine, TX., Ronnie Waldrep, and Timothy Waldrep both of Orangefield, TX., daughters, Betty Austin of Sterling Heights, MI., Barbara Miles, and Mary Wheeler both of Orangefield, TX., brothers, J.C. Waldrep, Jr., of Orangefield, TX., and Thomas Waldrep of Brazoria, TX., sisters, Esther Mauer of San Antonio, TX., and Velma Couture of Orangefield, TX. Twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
