James O'Brien, 83, of Vidor, TX died Wednesday, May 22nd, 2019 in Orange, TX. A native of Beaumont, TX he was a longtime resident of Vidor. James served his country in the U.S. Air Force and worked as a Correctional Officer for the State of Texas. His passion was spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, May 24, 2019 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. James is survived by 2 daughters; Amy Bray and her husband Derrell of Mauriceville, TX and DeeAnn Hollifield and her husband William of Orange, TX, 4 grandchildren; Ashley Bray, Tyler Milligan and his wife Megan, Travis Hollifield and Trace Hollifield and 3 great grandchildren; Braxton, Tyleigh, and Treysen. He is also survived by 1 brother; Terry O'Brien and his wife Cheryl of Vidor and 1 sister-in-law; Martha O'Brien. James was preceded in death by his parents; Shelby and Ruby O'Brien, 2 brothers; Larry and Lonnie O'Brien and 1 grandson; Triston Hollifield.
