Jimmy Bond, 79, of Vidor died Thursday, March 23rd, 2017 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Fairmont, West Virginia, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Jimmy is a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor and was a member of Pine Forest masonic Lodge # 1420. Jimmy was a member of Pipe Fitter Local Union #195 for 25 years and was the owner/operator of Bar B Western Store in Vidor. He enjoyed raising cattle and horses, he even did some bull riding in rodeo's for 8 years in his younger days. Jimmy also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors, but he was an avid hunter. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Pine Forest Baptist Church with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 58 years Patsy Bond, daughter Penny Bond Singleton and her husband Kevin, sons Casey Bond and his wife Penny Smith, Alan Bond all of Vidor, TX, sisters Mary Ann Ruth of Baytown, TX and Carolyn Herring of Houston, TX, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
