James "Jim" Alva Morris

James "Jim" A. Morris, 79, of Vidor died Tuesday, June 14th, 2016 at his residence. A native of Smithfield, West Virginia, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Jim was a member of Church of Christ in Orange, TX and loved to watch football and cheer for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He served his country in the US Marine Corps.. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years Marilyn Morris of Vidor, TX, son Brad Morris of Vidor, TX, daughter Jan Morris of Vidor, TX and Debbie Miller of Mauriceville, TX,
brothers Pat Morris and Albert Morris both of Mannington, WV, sister Lou Patterson of Longview, TX, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Eastern European Mission P.O. Box 670928, Dallas, Texas 75367.
