James Douglas Thornhill, Sr.

James D. Thornhill, Sr., 55 of Sealy, TX., died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at his residence. A native of Beaumont, he has lived in Sealy for 5 years, and was a self-employed home building contractor. James served his country in the United States Army. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home. James was preceded in death by his father Douglas Thornhill, Sr., and his grandson Jacob Harvey. He is survived by his son James Douglas Thornhill, Jr., of Livingston, daughter Melissa Harvey of Lumberton, mother Vera Thornhill of Vidor,half brother Douglas Thornhill, Jr. of Vidor,sister Anna Lechinger of Vidor, three grandchildren: Joshua, Emily, and Alexis Harvey.
