Jackey Ray Asher

Jackey Ray Asher, 77, of Vidor, TX died December 18th, 2018 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home. A native of Bourne, TX he was a longtime resident of Vidor who enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching western movies. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Jackey worked with the Lumberton ISD in the maintenance department for many years. Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Friday, December 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Antioch Cemetery in Buna, TX. Jackey is survived by 3 brothers; Earl Asher and his wife Patrica of Lumberton, TX, Robert Asher and his wife Barbara of Vidor, and Alfred Meyka of Vidor. He is also survived by 1 sister; Bobbie LeDoux of Vidor along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jackey was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Asher and his parents Clarence Asher and Louise Wilkins.
