Jack H. Riley, 62, of Rose City died June 3, 2009 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Vidor, and was a retired estimator with D&S Signs in Beaumont. Jack served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era. He was an avid duck hunter and outdoorsman. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 3:00 p.m., followed by a Memorial service at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Jack was preceded in death by his father Jack Warren Riley and brother Warren Riley. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Pat Riley of Rose City, sons Jack Anthony Riley and wife Thya of Allentown, PA., Chris Hale and wife Blanca of The Woodlands, TX., Greg Melanson and wife Becky, Glen Melanson, and daughter Dannis Melanson, mother Rita Riley, brother David Riley and wife Teresa all of Vidor, eight grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends Jerry Jordan, Carrol Price and Carey Barclay. Jack donated his body to Baylor College of Medicine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, 2450 N. Major Dr., Beaumont, Texas 77713. Following Jacks lifelong history, dress for the service will be casual.
