Ivy Ethel Gill

Ethel Gill, 105, of Vidor died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Oakwood Nursing Home in Vidor. A native of Walnut Hill, LA, she has lived in Vidor since 1949. Ethel is a retired nurse and a member of EastGate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor. She is also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 914 in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at EastGate United Pentecostal Church, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Ruben Gill, son-in-law Kenny KV Marshall, grandchildren Wanda Gillis, Debra Ann Wilhelm, Paul Wilhelm, Jr, Joel Allan Marshall, Robert Wayne Jones, Barbara Jones, and John W. Welch, Jr, great grandchildren Joel Davis, Jerry Gillis, and April Jennings. She is survived by her sons J.D. Gill and his wife Helen of Call, TX, L.C. Gill and his wife Mary of Vidor, TX, Jim Gill and his wife Velva of Crosby, TX, daughters Ivy Jones and her husband Willard, Audie Marshall, Alley Welch and her husband Jack all of Vidor, TX, sister-in-law LoisWoods of Groventon, TX, 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 29 great great-grandchildren.

Restlawn Memorial Park 27254 N. Main St., Vidor, Texas

6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church IH-10 E. @ Timberlane Exit, Vidor, Texas

2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church IH-10 E. @ Timberlane Exit, Vidor, Texas
