Gus Dale Deason, 57, of Vidor died Monday, April 10th, 2017 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. A native and lifelong resident of Vidor. Gus dedicated his early years in life to community service in the fire department and police department. He was a firefighter in Vidor for 28 years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home. Gus is survived by his wife of 7 years Donna Deason of Vidor, TX, sons Robert Deason and wife alice of Vidor, TX, Gus Deason III and wife Kaylea of Austin, TX, daughter Margie Deason Block and husband David of Vidor, TX, sister Henrietta Etta Morgan of Vidor, TX and 6 grandchildren.
