Gordon "Robbie" Robinson, 87, of Kountze, TX died Friday, October 27th, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a longtime resident of Kountze and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war. He was a member of many organizations including: The Masonic Tolerance Lodge #1165 of Beaumont; Masonic Pine Lodge #642 of Kountze; Order of the Eastern Star # 914 of Vidor, TX and #724 of Kountze; The Fraternal Order of Eagles #764 of Waterloo, IA; RSVP of Southeast Texas; and The Big Thicket Volunteer Group. Robbie worked as a machinist for many years at 4th Street Auto Parts in Beaumont and was a driver for Kinsel Ford for 18 years. Visitation will be Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Monday, October 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Robbie is survived by his loving wife Darlene Robinson of 20 years; 3 daughters; Sherrie Robinson-Fischer and her husband Larry of Kingwood, TX; Terrie Robinson-McCollum and her husband John of Vidor, and Susan Huebner and her husband Jack of Lumberton, TX, 2 sons; Curtis Tomkins and his wife Susan of Waterloo, IA and John Tomkins and his wife Val of Iron River, WI. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Robbie was preceded in death by his previous wife; Mary Robinson, infant son; Philip Robinson, 1 son; Michael Robinson and 1 daughter; Judy Mullin.
