Glenn N. Sistrunk, 87, of Vidor died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Mitchell, LA., Glenn was a longtime resident of Vidor, and a retired service manager with Mid City Motors. Glenn served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Glenn was a longtime member and deacon at Trinity Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Trinity Baptist Church in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Trinity Baptist Church. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Ross and Pearl Sistrunk, brothers B. W. Sistrunk, James Pierce Sistrunk, Bradford Sistrunk, and William Dean Sistrunk. Glenn is survived by his wife of 63 years Jean Sistrunk of Vidor, sons Richard Neal Sistrunk and wife Paula of Orange, Russell Glenn Sistrunk and wife Patricia of Huffman, TX., daughters Paula Jean Gibson and husband Ted of Reno, NV., and Merle Gayle Bennett and husband Brad of Vidor, brother George Sistrunk of Pipe Creek, TX., nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
