 Glenn Alvin Johnson Sr., 73, of Buna, passed away on Sunday, June 30th, 2024, at Mill Creek Nursing Home in Silsbee, Texas. A longtime resident of Vidor, Glenn relocated to Buna four years ago, where he continued to leave a significant mark on his community. Glenn proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Following his service, he pursued a career as a truck driver and diesel mechanic. His love for the outdoors and animals led him to train horses, participate in rodeo bull riding, and engage in dirt track racing. Additionally, Glenn was a skilled crane operator, known for his precision and expertise. Glenn is survived by his children: Glenn Alvin Johnson Jr. and his wife Rachel of Dayton, TX; Justin Cole Johnson and his wife Brenna of Tioga, ND; and Meredith Johnson of TX. He also leaves behind his sisters: Diane Johnson Guidry and her husband Mike of Vidor, TX; and Melissa McDonald and her husband Steve of Buna, TX. Glenn was a proud grandfather to eleven grandchildren and had several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons, Gordon Anthony Johnson and Cody Johnson, as well as his father George Johnson and mother Betty Johnson. Glenn's life was characterized by his dedication to his family, his work, and his many hobbies. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit and the love he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
