Glenda Jo Blackwell

Glenda Jo Blackwell, 62, of Vidor died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in Vidor. A native of Birmingham, AL., Glenda was a longtime resident of Vidor, and was a RN with Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Turning Point Church in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Alabama on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home. Glenda was preceded in death by her son John Roland Goodwin and her two great grandchildren: Abigail Goodwin, and Connor Beauchamp. Glenda is survived by her son Thomas Blackwell and wife Tammy of Beaumont, sisters Brenda Garison and husband L.C. of Vidor, and Belinda Self of Blountsville, AL., three grandchildren.
