Gladys Marie Blanton

Gladys Blanton, 80 of Vidor died Tuesday, December 12th, 2017 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Clayton, OK, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Gladys was a ministers wife and was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor. She was a Medical Assistant and enjoyed writting poetry. Gladys loved her yorky dogs. She also enjoyed attending the grandchildren activities and helping take care of them. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 16, 2017 at New Hope Church in Cleburne, Texas with burial to follow at Baker-Lain Cemetery. Gladys is survived by her sons Gene Blanton and wife Shelia of Dallas, TX, David Blanton and wife Sherry of Cleburne, TX, Wesley Lynn Blanton of Vidor, TX, daughter Tina Teinert and husband Terry of Vidor, TX, brothers Sonny Snow and wife Betty of Pilot Point, TX, Charles Wilkins and wife Mary of Duncanvlle, TX, Danny Snow of Scurry, TX, sisters Dolly Caraway of Van Alstyne, TX, Sue Warren and husband Don of Jackson, TN, Peggy Robinson and husband Ronnie of Trenton, TX, Betty Frazier and husband Jimmy of Blue Ridge, TX, 5 grandchildren Tony Robinson of Hattiesburg, MS, , Heather Fuller of Tulsa, OK, Alton, Cameron and Mckenzie Teinert all of Vidor, TX and 8 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor.
