George W. Nett III, 64, of Orange died Friday, February 25, 2011 at his residence. A native of Sour Lake, TX, he has been in Orange for the past 9 years. George retired as a railroad switchman for Southern Pacific Railroad after 27 years. He was a longtime flea marketer with the Vidor Flea Market and was a member of Old Faith Chapel Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Old Faith Chapel Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2011 at Old Faith Chapel Baptist Church in Vidor. George is survived by his wife Melissa Nett of Orange, TX, sons George W. Nett IV of China, TX, daughters Kimberly Tanner of China, TX, Tracy Strother of Vidor, TX, Misty Fontenot of Lafayette, LA, sisters Maurine Miller of Plano, TX, Brenda Deer of Baytown, TX, Theresa Peeler and her husband Richard of Lumberton, TX, and 10 grandchildren.

Forest Lawn Memorial Park, corner of Lucas, and Pine St, in Beaumont.

6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2011 at Old Faith Chapel Baptist Church in Vidor.
