George LeBlanc 65, of Vidor passed away on Friday, August 24 after a lengthy illness. A native of Houston, George lived in Vidor for the past 20 years. Prior to retirement he was Director of Security at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont and Security Officer at various federal and private organizations around the Golden Triangle. He was a Veteran of the US Army. He enjoyed vintage car shows where he would show his vintage car. He loved people and always had a joke or two to tell each time he saw you. A friend said of his passing “he is in heaven making God laugh”. He loved life itself. He never met an animal or child that did not fall in love with him almost immediately. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Louise; three sons; Jim LeBlanc of Katy, TX; Marvin Hoffmann of Vidor; Henry Ray Hoffmann of Silsbee; one daughter; Susan Moore of Vidor; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services are being held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm on Tueseday, August 28, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Pine Forest Baptist Church of Vidor, 4800 N. Main St., Vidor, Texas 77662, and ear marked for the Prayer Garden.
