George Alfred Johnson, Jr.

George Alfred Johnson, Jr., 74 , of Vidor died Thursday June 26, 2003 at Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Crosby, TX., George has lived in Vidor since 1933. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with Smith Material and was a voluntary fireman with the Vidor Fire Department. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 28, 2003 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Singleton Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Friday June 27, 2003 at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife: Joyce Annett Ader Johnson and daughter: Reba Linda Richard. George is survived by his sons: Glenn A. Johnson of Vidor, TX., Gary Allen Johnson of Vidor, TX., Jack C. Richard of LaPorte, TX., daughters: Diane Guidry of Vidor, TX., Rebecca S. Eaves of Vidor, TX., Ela J. Ogden of Huntington, TX., 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
