Gene Martin, 65, of Vidor died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX. Gene was self employed. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Turning Point Church in Vidor, with burial to follow at Singleton Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm Wednesday, July 24, 2013. at Turning Point Church. Gene was preceded in death by his mother Frances Martin and brother Clint Martin. He is survived by his wife Janet Martin of Vidor, TX, sons Mark Martin of Big Wells, TX, Matt Martin and his wife Jennifer of San Antonio, TX, 3 grandchildren Blake and Brady Martin of San Antonio, TX, Blaine Martin of Beaumont, TX, father Pennie Martin and his wife Maurine of Vidor, TX and sister Beverly Sturm and her husband Eddie of Vidor, TX, step sister Melena Armour and her husband Wes of Vidor, TX.
