Fritzie Mabry Melvin

Fritzie M. Melvin, 78, of Vidor died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at her residence. A native of Upshur County, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Fritzie was a retired cook. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Del-Rose Cemetery in Vidor. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm Friday, March 14, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home. Fritzie was survived by her daughters Becky Garrett and her husband Robert of Beaumont, TX, Tina Leavins and her husband Kenneth of Nederland, TX, Tami Fuller and her husband Russell of Mauriceville, TX, mother Ethel Howard of Orange, TX, sister Linda Meads of Orange, TX, grandchildren Melanie Gee, Beau LaCaze, Katie Leavins, Emily Leavins, Colt Fuller, great grandchildren Zachary Fish, Cormac Fish, Haleigh LaCaze, Remy Gee, Cameron LaCaze, and her Faithful Companions Jet and Roscoe 'Little Bit'. She was preceded in death by her parents Mabry and Mildred Howard, grandparents Andy and Jewel Cone, brothers Artis Howard and Tommy Howard.
