Frederick "Fred" Hall, 85, of Vidor, Texas, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Born in Allock, Kentucky, Fred made his home in Vidor for many years, where he was cherished by his family, friends, and community. A proud veteran, Fred served his country with honor in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he continued his dedication to public service with a long career at the U.S. Post Office before retiring. He was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church, where he found fellowship and shared his love of faith. Fred was an avid fisherman, always eager to cast a line and enjoy the peace of the water. He cherished every moment spent with his family, making memories that will live on in the hearts of those he loved. With a creative side, Fred enjoyed arts and crafts, filling his home with unique projects and sharing his talents with those around him. Fred is survived by his children, John Hall of San Antonio, TX, and Valerie Hare of Vidor, TX; his brother, Glennis Hall (wife Patricia) of Knoxville, TX; and his nieces, Kelle Woods and Gina Slusser of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beverly Hall, with whom he shared many happy years. Fred’s legacy is one of service, creativity, and deep love for his family. His gentle spirit and warm presence will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
